THINGS TO READ TO HELP SLAY YOUR DAY: 12/23/17

Back with the 2nd edition of “THINGS TO READ TO HELP SLAY YOUR DAY” and it’s going to be FIRE!!!!! And by fire. I mean we’re going to light it up! Haha just kidding, but on a more serious note, I’d would just like to wish everyone a Merry Christmas and Happy Holiday’s as this will be my last post on here before Christmas.

Now, onto this week’s fire!

1) The Olympic Lifts Are Overrated – Charles Staley

I’ve never personally met Charles Staley, but this article is fantastic. Based on my personal experience with the Olympic lifts, they are best kept to people involved in Olympic lifting or CrossFit. The lifts are very technical themselves, and many ‘athlete’s aren’t qualified to perform them in my opinion. Way too much could go wrong, and I tend to stay clear of them for the most part in the hockey and basketball realm.

2) Functional Stability Training for the Lower Body – Mike Reinold & Eric Cressey

Mike and Eric recently had a huge sale on their functional stability training systems product, and I decided to take advantage of that sale. I’ve already ripped through roughly all 10 hours of the content for the lower body, and I love it. A high-quality product that I recommend to any strength coaches or rehab professionals.

3) The Thank You Economy – Gary Vaynerchuk

For those of you that don’t know Gary Vee… he is the fucking man. I’ve been following him for about six months now and ever since I stumbled upon him, he has put things into perspective for myself. In my opinion, he is the definition of hard work, discipline, and inspiration. I just finished up reading ‘The Thank You Economy”, which is the 3rd book that I’ve read from Gary and in my opinion. It’s a precious resource for anyone in the healthcare field looking to market themselves and expand their business on social media. I’ve been implementing tips from Gary since day 1. Just look at my snapchat, twitter and LinkedIn game at the moment. 🙂
